Planet Ice is adjacent to Hovertravel on Ryde seafront. Planet Ice is to the east (on the right as you look to the mainland) of the pier, on the spur road above Esplanade that leads "into the sea", in the linked local area map. The rink is a very short walk from Ryde Esplanade bus station and Ryde Esplanade rail station, which links to Ryde Pierhead station and Wightlink's fast passenger ferry from Portsmouth Harbour. Car and coach parking is located right next to the rink.

The rink is open to the public at the following times for general skating sessions:

10am - 4.30pm (Monday to Friday)
10am - 12.30pm (Saturday and Sunday)
5pm - 7.30pm (Saturday)

Daytime disco sessions are at:

1pm - 4pm (Saturday and Sunday)

At other times, the ice rink is open to patch ice users or for evening entertainment, such as discos. Admission rates vary according to session and skate hire is additional at £1.45.

New management at the cafe and bar means these facilities are now open for longer hours.

The cafe is in theory open at the following times (actual times vary):

6.30am - 9pm (Monday to Saturday)
10am - 9pm (Sunday).

The bar is open from:

12 noon to 11pm.

There is new outdoor seating for summer, and the bar also has happy hours.

Patch ice sessions

Patch ice sessions for private tuition are held at the followings times:

6am - 10am (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday)
6am - 9.30am (Saturday)
4.45pm - 8pm (Monday, Wednesday, Friday)
